So Where Is The Money Online?

Who doesn’t like the idea of leaving a job where you have to deal with an ungrateful boss, day in and day out and feeling like you’re stuck in a rut? Are you tired of working for the "man" or being a "tool" for  someone else?

When Internet marketing was relatively new and I’m talking about early 1990’s, being some sort of entrepreneur myself, I saw the potential of living the American Dream via the digital world, instead of wasting my life away sitting in a cubicle, putting in the hours and building someone else’s dream: my employer’s.

Don’t get me wrong. Many companies are great to work for. Most companies also offer medical, dental and profit sharing benefits which makes working for the man appealing to millions of people. Jobs sites are filled with qualified applicants hoping to land a great job working for someone else.

What I am trying to say is: there is nothing wrong with working for someone else if a) like what you do and b) you like the company and the people you work for. For example, a cubicle at Google headquarters could mean a 6-figure annual salary! Unfortunately, for many people, a cubicle is just that, a place to work  for little money and nothing else.

As the saying goes, life is too short, time is money and, let me add, time is also your life. So where you apply your time, is where you invest your life. Scary thought when you’re doing something you don’t enjoy but ‘have’ to do because, like the rest of us, you have bills to pay and maybe a family to support.

As you’re probably aware, along with commercial purposes, come the scams, the snake oil peddlers, the get-rich-quick schemers and those who want to make a quick buck by making false promises. It’s unavoidable unless the world was comprised solely of mother Teresas everywhere. Let’s not be naïve. There is the good, the bad and the ugly everywhere! True?

However, there are golden opportunities for you and I to make money online. You know that there are people making a great living off of eBay. But, in my opinion, eBay is now too overcrowded and there are too many people buying products from the same wholesale sources and things have gotten too competitive. Personally, I stay out of eBay and only use it to drive traffic to my sites and to purchase cheap stuff.

So where are the genuine opportunities?

Based on my personal experience, I’ve concluded that you need three essential things in order to translate time into cash you can put in your bank account:

1.      Products or Services That are In High Demand

2.      Targeted Traffic To Your Site(s)

3.      Reasonable Conversion Rates

I like business opportunities that are straight to the point or that offer simple step-by-step tips on how to succeed. I don’t like to read endless ebooks with long instructions on how to make money on the Internet. I want it all spelled out for me. I just want to follow a few steps and start earning.

Some business opportunities also require you to invest a bit of time and money in order to get things going. So you have to budget for that. I know of online businesses that generate a good return on investment for less than $75 total! 

Internet marketing can be like the stock market. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but it’s still fun to play when you have the right stocks to invest into. It’s a gamble. When you do your homework on any business opportunity, you’re less likely to make a bad investment and you minimize your risks. 

Before you invest into any online money making opportunity, be sure to search as much information as you can about it, see what others are saying and verify that you have a few bucks to invest. Try not to be so skeptical of ‘everything’ that you try nothing to improve your financial potential.
