How do I make INTERESTING wedding favors - Budget Wedding How-TosMelinda McAlindon ![]() http://politicallyspeaking08.googlepages.com/ There are an endless number of favors you can have at your wedding. I've list only 10 below. Please respond with your own suggestions! Any of these suggestion look dressed up and "favor-ish" when wrapped in tulle and tied with a bow. Tulle is that net-like fabric, and you can buy it at any hobby store. Just tie a thin ribbon in a small bow, like the one you use on your shoes. If you don't like tulle, you can purchase wedding favor bags or just tie your gift with a ribbon. Most items can be engraved or printed on. Be sure to include a thank you statement to your guests. If your item cannot be printed on, simply print off a note, punch a hole in the corner, and run your ribbon through the hole. You can then just tie the ribbon, with the note attached, onto your item. 1. Traditional. Ok, I have to put it in here. You can do the traditional coated almonds in tulle tied with a bow. A twist on that is to get M&Ms with your names or wedding date or really anything on them. You can get them in your wedding colors as well. 2. Music. Music is a very popular way to celebrate and not too expensive. You can burn CDs of your favorite music from your computer (please follow copyright laws…). This is a nice way to share yourself with your guests. For the CD cover, just print off a Title page with your names, the date of the wedding and a "thanks for sharing this day with us" type of note. 3. Bubbles. Bubbles are fun for when you leave the reception. Bear in mind, if they are on the table, they will be used during dinner. 4. Mints/chocolate. You can purchase tins of mints or miniature chocolates with your names and wedding date on them. Most also offer a place for a comment. 5. Themes. Go with what you love. Your guests will love sharing your passion. If you are a wine connoisseur, you could purchase inexpensive wine stoppers as your gift. Love to travel, try elegant luggage tags. Place your thank you note in the display area. Chef/Cook, there are many cooking utensils available for engraving/printing. If you love ice cream, purchase inexpensive ice cream scoopers. 6. Glasses. Any type of glass can be purchased, from shot glasses to wine glasses, and can be personalized. These can often be found from $.60 and up! Just don't be expecting Waterford. 7. Photos. Small frames or even photo coasters work well as a gift. Use the display area to place a "thanks for sharing this day with us" note. 8. Candles. Candles in votive holders can be easily engraved. Or find a shaped candle that reflects you (hearts, butterflies, golfballs, castles, etc). Just tie with a bow and attach your note. 9. Seeds. A packet of flower seeds, with a cute saying like, "our love is in bloom" placed in a small basket or box makes a nice favor for Spring and Summer weddings especially. 10. Golf Balls for the men, "Tea" bags for the women. A fun play on words. Something everyone can use. Personalize the golf balls and the tea bags. If that's too sexist for you, go with personalized tees instead.
