The Secondary
School Admission Test (SSAT) is a standardized test that is commonly used by
private schools who are members of the Conference of Independent
Schools. Bayhill specialiaes in Richmond SAT SSAT
preparation courses and provides Richmond Hill York Regions SAT
SSAT.
The vast majority
of private schools have more students applying to attend their school than they
have available positions. Therefore one of the ways in which
schools go about selecting appropriate candidates is to look at their SSAT
scores. Writing the SSAT is only one part of the admission process. Parents are
responsible for completing application materials for EACH school their children
apply.
The test is
comprised of several components, all of which are multiple choice questions
except for the writing piece:
- Writing Section:
5 paragraph essay
- Quantitative
Sections: 2 parts
- Verbal Section:
synonyms and analogies
- Reading
Comprehension
We recommend you
begin preparing your child in advance for the writing of the SSAT.
Provide them with study guides and lots of practice
questions.
