The HP storage works MSA30 is an Ultra320 SCSI disk drive storage enclosure. The hp MSA30 gives industry-leading storage density, data performance and availability. MSA-30 has been designed to meet the growing storage needs. The drive carrier of MSA 30 is designed to support the fastest current Ultra320 hard drives on the same SCSI bus. The user has the option to upgrade StorageWorks 4300 or StorageWorks 4200 enclosure to the Modular Storage Array -30. HP provides the lowest cost of ownership to its customers. When configured with ProLiant server, IT administrators can perform tasks such as disaster recovery, OS Migration and server consolidation. The MSA 30 provides the facility to the administrators to move file servers to new servers without incurring downtime, while using available bandwidth. In this way the users are able to keep the host and target units in production mode while allowing the migration of data simultaneously. The MSA30 OVSM allows the administrator to manage bandwidth during the migration process. This feature helps to maximize I/O on critical servers during the off peak hours.
