It has been proven many times that using real people on websites for education purposes is a much more highly effective method than by using simple text. People remember more than 90 percent of what they learn by actually interacting with other people more than they do by just reading words that are written and/or looking at still images. In fact, students learn more by example than they do by reading. So for learning or training websites, videos of real people offer a much higher effectiveness than those that simply use words and pictures.
For employers who are planning training for employees, particularly those companies that offer work from home positions, video training is absolutely the best way to go. Training and educational videos can offer excellent teaching tools that allow employees or students the information that they need in a manner that is much more personal. The understanding level of video teaching methods is much higher simply because people respond better when they are dealing with other people.
If you have ever tried to learn something on your own by simply reading then you may realize that it is much easier to learn by example. For instance if you were to attempt to learn how to change a tire on your vehicle by simply reading words that have been written then you may have difficulty retaining the information. On the other hand if you were to watch a video demonstration of the task of changing a tire, then your comprehension and retention of this information would be much greater.
Offering educational videos that feature real people give students the feeling of a personal touch. They connect on a much higher level when they are being taught by people and not simply by a textbook or by articles on a website. It is also a much more interesting approach to learning. In fact, almost half of all students lose interest in the material that they are reading. If however, they are watching a video of the lesson at hand then their interest is captured and they are much more likely to finish the lesson and move on to the next learning session. Online videos offer many advantages not only to the student but to the  site owner as well.
They increase conversion and have a dramatic impact on traffic. For educational websites there really is no better way of getting across critical information than by using video presentations with that information being taught by real people. These people can be professors, trainers or simply actors who know the material that they are speaking about and can convey that information to students.
In today's society many people rely on video and audio effects for entertainment. You would be very hard pressed to find a home that does not have a television and some sort of video equipment. The same aspects ring true for the internet. Millions of site owners have learned the importance of providing video presentations for their visitors in order to convey important messages and information.
As for learning through video, it is a much easier method for students as they stay interested in what is being taught and are not as prone to procrastinate their study time when an engaging video is being used.
The advantages of using online videos to teach students far outweigh any disadvantages, although to date no disadvantages have been reported. Even the cost of implementing video on your website is relatively low. To gain a highly interested and attention focused audience, online learning videos that feature real people are definitely the way to go.
