Wave solder process is quite a broad process which is used for the manufacturing of printed circuit boards. Wave soldering process has its various improvements available for the manufacturing process. The latest improvement in the field of the wave soldering is that of the implementation of the lead free wave soldering. The lead free wave soldering process is the most advanced way of wave soldering and it has various advantages as well over the conventional wave soldering process. Lead free wave soldering technology has been developed in order to improve the wave soldering process, which is generally used to reduce the dissolution of the copper in the wave soldering pots, during the execution of the traditional wave soldering process.

But still the implementation of the new and improved lead free wave soldering technology cannot be achieved until various other multiple technological process are not achieved. Various changes and improvements are being brought in the traditional wave soldering process, so as to execute the lead free wave soldering process successfully. The materials like the flux and the pots that are used in the wave soldering process will be changed up to a great extent so as to make the lead free wave soldering process count.

Apart form the transformation of the technological process, and the equipments used in the wave solder process, to make it a lead free process the major objective of this work is to transport the lead free wave solder process to a much higher level of performance so as to make it able to fulfill the demands of the much bigger, heavier, thicker and with more thermal challenge. Once the goal of the lead free wave solder technology is achieved then these needs can also be fulfilled and then the wave soldering technology will be quite efficient and will be more productive for its users.

Apart from all the factors involved in this process, the one of major fact that will be noticed is the optimization factor for the wave soldering process. We all are aware of the wave solder optimization but with the introduction of the lead free wave soldering process there will be a change in the optimization process traditional wave solder process and that too will have some impact on the performance of the lead free wave soldering process. The optimization techniques which will be introduced for lead free wave soldering process will surely be more developed and technical sound as well. So whatever changes are being done in this field, they are done to make the process more improved and productive for the users.
