What do you feel, how much is your knowledge is about the history of art? We all know that art is the timeless beauty, its beauty never dies rather it increases with the passage of time. An art whatever may it be a painting or a sculpture has an autonomous existence which surpasses time, its everlasting beauty have a meaning of its own. It appeals humankind across the ages. The visual pleasure that we get by looking at a marvelous piece of an art is simply worthwhile. We observe it for its own sake, not for anything else and thus it is totally independent of any knowledge of its context, though contrast may appear from viewer's point of observation.
The immediate question which plunges into our mind while observing a piece of art are for examples, who made it? Why such a creation? When this art is created and finally completed? What is the subject matter of the artist's such a creativeness? Our such curiosity move our mind from appreciating the artist's skill to other unrelated things which prevent us to appreciate further the creativity of the artist. You should be aware of the fact that for appreciating a piece of art , our knowledge of its history is not essential at all, rather if our vision is strong and powerful enough to analyze the great piece then we can easily find the answer of how, when and why hidden in it. Knowledge on the context of the art is not required for appreciating it, if its beauty really appeal at your heart then you will be overwhelm by it and will simply get absorbed into it. Above all a piece of art is for all and can be seen and enjoyed by all.
Artistic creativity is something which has an aesthetic appeal. If art is representing the world then we can see the whole universe reflecting in it. It is a single canvas, it is a single painter and once again it is a single man's creative mind that focuses on a single style or a work in relation to the biography of the painter himself. There is a wide array of difference between verbal representation of anything and visual identity of the same thing. Check your taste by observing a piece of art.
