Do You Really Care For Your Cat?

I was reading this interesting article the other day and it brought me some disturbing news. Did you know that more people have cats than people have dogs? That may or may not be surprising to yo, but what really surprised me was the health care. Which pet do you think gets more better care? Cats or dogs? Yeah that's right dogs do! In fact cat care has gone down in the past years. Visiting the vet for cats have gone down 11% since 2001. So my question is, what's going on? So i decided to read a little bit further and I found out that even the vets have become ill-prepared when it comes to treating out little furry friends. Vets nowadays have a lot fewer tools to treat cats than they do for dogs. And to add to that, dogs that are given up to a shelter have a 30% chance of being reclaimed, on the other hand cats only have a 2-5% chance of ever getting reclaimed. And for the rest of the kitties, well for the most part they are hardly claimed by anyone and are often left unadopted for the rest of their lives. So that's where you come in, make a change in the statistics, and actually take time to take care of your cat, I mean he/she is part of your family and needs to visit the doctor just as much as you do. So make sure you know your cat care skills and show your appreciation for your little furry friend.
