When it comes time to get posters printed, most companies are aware that the most important factor is where you put them. The right location can lead to far more sales and continue to help your marketing for a very long time.

Postcards don't often need any kind of proper location because you're sending them directly to a person's home.

But what do you do with something like brochure printing? Where exactly are these brochures supposed to go? A lot of time and attention is often placed into the actual design and writing aspect of the brochure, but that same attention isn't always given to the final act of finding out how to get your brochures to your customers, which is still going to be a very important factor.

Brochures can actually be used in a variety of different ways, and can be quite similar to flyers, postcards, and even business cards in the way you distribute them, but the creative business owner can find even more ways.

Let's go over some of the more basic means. Brochures can be handed out in a similar fashion to flyers, though because of the higher costs associated with brochures, you'll likely want to have a greater assurance that the people will take the time to look at them. Trade shows and seminars act as a great chance to give people a brochure about your services. This way you know the people are there because they have a greater interest in services like yours, increasing the odds of them looking at them.

You can also find a good store or shop to leave a stack of your brochures with similar to what you might do with business cards. Just stop by various places in your area that you know your customers shop at and ask them to keep some of your brochures someplace visible for people to see.

While this method might be a little more expensive, you can also send brochures through the mail to customers just as you would postcards. If you plan on doing this I would suggest that you make sure that you're targeting a smaller pool of people who will have a greater desire to buy, because brochure printing will run you more than postcards would. But if you do have a nice, small list, try it out in order to give people a greater amount of information about what you do.

These are three good ways, but by no means the only. I've seen stores with brochures about big-ticket items in holders right next to that item. Do you sell something particularly expensive, then set up your own holder with brochures giving detailed information.

Figure out methods that work well with your particular business. Because of the pricier nature of designing brochures along with the brochure printing, you want to be sure that your distribution method give you the most exposure as possible. Just remember that no matter how great your brochure looks if no one knows how to get them, it doesn't really matter.
