Blogging has been very popular nowadays. It is so popular that new blogs are

being created every day, by people of all ages and walks of life. However,

teenagers are better at blogging as compared to the rest because they have

been brought up together with the age of internet. While adolescents are also

learning to blog to express their innermost feelings, older writers find it

difficult to take on this new platform of writing. On contrary, young people

find much easier because that thatt using word processor and blogging is

about the same and it is much convenience as compared to writing diary.

A possible reason why blogging has become very popular to teenagers is the

ability to be heard, both authentically and anonymously. Blogs, now have the

function to allow or disallow visitors to view their site. The private ones

will provide a confirmation email from the blogger to their invited guest to

view their site. That is not all, teenagers can also blog anonymously by

using nicknames to avoid unnecessary embarassment and commotions.

Young writers do not have as much credibility as older and experienced writer.

Often their works are not published on magazines and journals. This

discourage adolescents from writing and getting chances to publish their work.

As one of the advantages of blogging is the ability to be able to publicized

and this is the reason why many younger writers choose to blog.

Between the fact that blogs provide young people with a chance to exercise

their impressive technical aptitude, to gain visibility without compromising

privacy, and to build a readership for their writing without having to jump

through the traditional hoops of the publishing industry, it is little wonder

that are so many teenagers with blogs. For some teenagers, blogging is even a

very social endeavor that allows them to meet people with similar interests

from all over the world. Many a blogging teen has discovered that having a

weblog on the internet is a great way to explore self-expression and, often,

to win positive feedback from new friends.
