This is the real reason that people are going to go into a store, because they want a specific product and they know they can get it from your store. You will know right away exactly what the most important thing is for that company, and I am not arguing with this approach. If that is your best selling point, then go for it, but what I think a lot of companies need to realize is that customer service is still a very important part of marketing, and should be considered. Unless you are literally the only company selling a certain product, you will have competition, and you have to give people a reason why you are better than the others. This is where customer service comes in as a great way of distinguishing yourself from the other companies. Part of customer service has to do with handling problems when they crop up. If someone comes to you unhappy with something related to your business you need to be able to provide them with the best possible way of solving whatever issues they have. This is often going to be the best way to develop a loyal customer if you can handle things responsibly and give them the best help possible. Another thing to consider is using testimonials talking about how effective your customer service skills are. Get that brochure printing done with various people talking about what great service you provide, along with what great products you sell. The reason why you should focus on service in a primarily product based industry is because you need to have something that makes you different from the other companies. If everyone is selling similar products you need to do more than just give people another store to shop at, but one that is willing to listen to their concerns and help them in any way possible. That way you set yourself apart from everyone else and find something strong to make you the best pick for people looking for someplace to shop at. If you cannot provide people with a good reason to come into your store other than the products you sell, then you will never be able to get loyal customers. You are not giving them much of a reason to be loyal to you. With strong customer service you will offer more than just your products, and make sure people will want to come back in again.
