How Toxic Chemicals Alter DNA & Cause Cardiovascular Changes
by Denis Van Loan, D.D.S.New Life Enterprises LLC
Cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's,... are all accompanied by inflammation. When there is inflammation there is cellular damage and oxidative damage to the DNA or the cellular, genetic code. Weak and damaged cells are sick and produce degenerative diseases.
James Balch, M.D. says it best: "We know that most degenerative diseases are limited to free radical damage."
Another doctor, Dr. Denham Harmon said this in 1954: "A single common process, modifiable by genetic and environmental factors, was responsible for ageing and death of all living things." This is more true today because of increased assaults on your body that change the genetic code. Disease is produced by damaged DNA and the inflammation is produced by toxins.
There is a proliferation of toxic chemicals and substances that attack the mitochondria and the DNA of every cell in your body, thus altering the genetic code, producing aging and pre-mature death.
Cancer is a prime example of this genetic change. If you study a microscopic slide of cancer cells you will see irregular, bizarre, tumor cells. Most of the time, they are so changed in their appearance they are nearly unidentifiable from the original, normal cell. A vastly different cell has emerged because the DNA and reproductive code has changed.
Most people know the term "carcinogen" is associated with cancer. What this means is certain substances, chemicals, can cause alteration of healthy cells which turn into cancer cells. In layman's terms, the mitochondria or the nucleus hosting the genetic code of the cells get "screwed up". This spawns a misfit, rogue cancer cell. If enough of these cancer cells proliferate and multiply, a tumor develops. (anti oxidants are helpful in preventing this)
The best way to combat disease is with a healthy body that has a strong immune system. Whether cardiovascular or cancer, a strong healthy body is key. Insults due to free radical damage and DNA degradation are stopped by prevention. This can be accomplished by a healthy diet of good supplements, vitamins and especially raw, fresh vegetables and fruit. This diet contains anti oxidants that reduce the cellular damage and DNA injury; it promotes good body chemistry. Cardiovascular health and cancer prevention are very dependent upon diet. Prevention of pollution from air and water are also important.
Your body handles toxins each day, eliminating chemicals and foreign substances. Unfortunately our modern environment sometimes overwhelms your body with too much toxic substance that is carcinogeniccancer causing.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports we are exposed to 80,000 toxic chemicals. These foreign substances include, but are not limited to pesticides, herbicides (4 billion lbs. in the U.S.A. each year), lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum, solvents, asbestos, preservatives, trans fats, prescription drugs, inhaled smoke and auto exhausts, cleaning agents, cosmetics, ammonia, artificial food products and numerous biochemical pollutants.
These products cause inflammation and sometimes even genetic aberrations that can produce cancer and cardiovascular disease. When your body is overwhelmed, sick cells develop disease and dysfunction. Ultimately life and longevity are compromised. You lose health and shorten your life!
