by Gary Guihttp://www.weightlossplans21.com
The way panic attacks affect a person can vary from one individual to another. Some get high pulse rate and strong heartbeat, hyper ventilation and a tingling feeling all over their body while there are some fighting obsessively against unwanted thoughts and feelings and still others feels waves of fear and anxiety coming often accompanied with hot flashes.
A panic attack can be so strong that the patient is convinced he or she has got a heart attack and ends up in the ambulance or in the emergency Room. Because of its pain, intensity and realness many patients find it hard to believe their doctors when they tell them that they are not 'sick' but "only" suffering from panic anxiety.
People who have never suffered a panic attack will not really know exactly what we're talking about but those who have experienced this will know for sure that there is no such thing as "only" a panic attack. Whatever the symptoms are, this anxiety disorder can be so debilitating that every part of your life is affected.
People who are suffering from panic anxiety attacks will often avoid everyday situations that might cause stress and trigger an attack. This can be trivial things like driving in tunnels, using elevators or standing on a balcony on the 60th floor. Although studies have shown that feeling trapped in an enclosed space is a common trigger for people with panic disorders, some people can get their attacks without any trigger at all.
So, what do you have to do to get rid of it? Just forget trying to avoid things, it will not work. The fear of when the next anxiety attack will come is not gone; it's still there. How many important moments of your life have you missed because of this defensive behavior?
Stop this trigger avoiding behavior and attack the panic and the fear of getting it directly. Stop the fear cycle that leads to the attack. You need to stop fearing your panic anxiety attacks. Only this way will you can get rid of them once and for all.
