Slimmer and Loving it

My search for lazy weight loss.
But weighting in at 6'2" at 247pds according to the Department of Health and Human Services BMI Calculator is a body mass of 31.5(Obese). Normal weight will range from 18.5 to 24.9 on the BMI scale. I would have to weight in at 190pds to make it into the normal range. I ain't ever been normal. That's still a dream, the weight loss, but I am gaining on it.
Now that I recognize as a real battle, as I haven't seen 190pds since I enlisted in the Army many many years ago. Teenage years at that. Now abundantly matured and with a very tight large belt, it's time to get serious about some weight loss. Now the question is How. Time for some research.
I am not looking for Chiseled Abs nor any of that, which for me is not in the cards, I just want take off some weight with as little effort as possible.
Nearly all weight loss info I run into began by telling me I had to exercise and sweat and forfeit my love of food, in order to have big weight loss and keep it off.
Has to be a better way. This is 2009 and somebody must have the explanation I am looking for. Weight loss data is every where and if you boil it all down it seems to me that most of the info is generic and not so unique. Just a multitude of ways to say the same thing.
Well it's a sure bet weight loss will not come to me because of exercise so it will have to be diet, as supplements or gastric surgery, also not an option for me. I was raised on meat, potato's and beans and have no motive of giving them up. Now my mission is to find the recipes that will let me to continue to enjoy the foods I was raised on and still let me lose weight. For me this will be Can Do weight loss.
But first let's touch on a word that comes up often in the weight loss world. Secrets. On the face it sounds real and makes sense to me. This is a discovery made by a Dr Suzanne Gudakunst . In my recipe search I found a website dedicated to weight loss which includes a page on Gourmet Recipes. There are a lot of sites out there and I sure did not see them all because I found what I was looking for. Healthy and Easy weight loss.
